Microfilm Scanning or Document Scanning

Metro Imaging Services has the  micrographic equipment and digital scanners available to offer our customers both on-site and off-site microfilming and scanning.  Our flexibility extends to the high or low volume, simplex/duplex, different paper sizes and weights, mixed sizes and folded document requirements for different scanning or conversion projects such as day forward document scanning and backfile conversions.  Microfilm processing, duplication and jacketing services are provided both independently or together with digital conversion.

The versatility to scan and convert microfiche (adjusting for density variations), 16mm and 35mm microfilm, aperture cards and engineering drawings into compatible file formats (i.e. single or multi-page TIFF and PDF) provides customers with seamless integration into most operating systems.  Despeckling, deskewing, handling of both bi-tonal and grayscale images and inverting both negative and positive images are some of the enhancements that digital conversions also bring to analog data.  We can provide document preparation, data entry, indexing and bar code recognition services where desired.

In concert with our  conversion services program, Metro Imaging Services has an extensive file management programs available for record storage, retrieval requirements, purging and confidential records destruction.  Our state of the art secured facilities provide a low cost alternative to the higher priced national operations.
